Thirumaran's UK visit
Thanks to the generosity of a supporter who paid for his air fare and the generous hospitality of many families, Thirumaran spent a busy and enjoyable fortnight in the UK during July.
Taekwondo Tournament Successes
I don’t know who will win the cricket cup but here “our kids” won the Taekwondo match!
Registered Charity status
TRUSTchildren Support Group UK is now registered with the Charity Commission. Our Registered Charity number is 1139559.Water supply improved
A major part of the funds raised as a result of Kat and Allie's sponsored Paris Marathon are to be used to improve the water supply for the TRUST Children's Home.
As a direct result of the generosity of Kat and Allie's sponsors, water will enable cultivation of vegetables and coconuts for the children's home kitchen, more papaya trees can be grown in the land and we can put an end to water scarcity in the home.
26.2 miles completed, more than £5000 raised - Paris update
Well we did it, and what's more both of us really enjoyed it! Kat completed it in 4 hours 2 mins and I did it in 4 hours 15 mins.Sponsored Walk in Dorset
There was a sponsored walk, partly in aid of TRUST, around the churches of the Winterborne Valley and Milton Abbas benefice on Saturday 15 May 2010.
Many thanks to those who took part and to their sponsors. Almost £400 was raised and this has now been transferred to the TRUST Children's Home in India. It will be used to buy bags of rice in bulk and so will contribute to the children's meals for some time. Thirumaran writes: "Please give my thanks to the loving members of the Winterborne Valley Church for the financial support of £400 to help our children."
Running for TRUST
Inspired to run
by Allie Matchwick (Upper Bucklebury) & Katherine Manchip, both 21 years old studying Veterinary Medicine The University of Bristol
‘’The Paris marathon?! You must be mad, you’ve never run more than three miles in your life’’
This was an unsurprising reaction to our transformation from unfit, alcoholic students to future marathon runners. ‘Trust Children’s Home’ in Southern India has apparently changed us.

Introduction to TRUSTchildren support group UK
We are a small charity and exist to make it easier to support the TRUST Children's Home in Tamil Nadu, south India, with small donations, collecting these contributions and sending them when it becomes cost effective to do so.
We are recognised as a Charity by HMRC to allow gifts to be GiftAided.
We can support sponsored and other fund raising events, reclaim GiftAid and transfer the money raised to TRUST.
We encourage regular small standing order donations to provide reliable support for Thirumaran to look after the children.
We have been set up by ex-volunteers who know TRUST personally and have a direct link with the Children's Home.
Please bookmark this site and return often to keep in touch with our progress!
