Water supply improved

A major part of the funds raised as a result of Kat and Allie's sponsored Paris Marathon are to be used to improve the water supply for the TRUST Children's Home.

As a direct result of the generosity of Kat and Allie's sponsors, water will enable cultivation of vegetables and coconuts for the children's home kitchen, more papaya trees can be grown in the land and we can put an end to water scarcity in the home.

Sponsored Walk in Dorset

There was a sponsored walk, partly in aid of TRUST, around the churches of the Winterborne Valley and Milton Abbas benefice on Saturday May 15th.

Many thanks to those who took part and to their sponsors. Almost £400 was raised and this has now been transferred to the TRUST Children's Home in India. It will be used to buy bags of rice in bulk and so will contribute to the children's meals for some time.  Thirumaran writes: "Please give my thanks to the loving members of the Winterborne Valley Church for the financial support of £400 to help our children."

Running for TRUST

Inspired to run

by Allie Matchwick (Upper Bucklebury) & Katherine Manchip, both 21 years old studying Veterinary Medicine The University of Bristol

‘’The Paris marathon?! You must be mad, you’ve never run more than three miles in your life’’

This was an unsurprising reaction to our transformation from unfit, alcoholic students to future marathon runners. ‘Trust Children’s Home’ in Southern India has apparently changed us.

To support us and to help raise money for the TRUST Children's Home, please visit our JustGiving page at http://www.justgiving.com/Alexandra-Matchwick or download a form from the About TRUST page and contact us by post. Thank you.

Welcome to our new website!

This website is intended to help us keep in touch with our supporters!

Hosting has been generously donated by siserone.

Please let us know if you have problems using any part of the site - there are bound to be bits that need sorting out!

Please REGISTER so that we can keep more closely in touch with you.

You will then be able to see some further pages. You will also be able to contribute pages (which will be moderated before being visible). If you have been a volunteer, please do add a page to tell others about your experiences. You could also usefully add to the FAQ pages so that those going out as volunteers in the future have some of their possible questions answered. You might have a favourite 'one liner' form Thirumaran to appear at the top right of the site; you can submit that as an article too!

We also hope to add a Gallery facility to enable registered users to share their pictures.
